LASER WELDING OF HEAT-RESISTANT ALLOY NICKEL BASE FOR GAS TURBINE ELEMENTS ENGINES

The advantages of using laser welding of heat-resistant nickel alloy VZh159 are shown. Studies of the influence of laser welding modes on the mechanical characteristics and structure of welded joints of the VZh159 alloy are presented. The influence of laser welding without filler material and with filler materials on the elemental composition of welded joints was assessed. The influence of repeated passes performed by laser welding on the mechanical characteristics of welded joints of the heat-resistant nickel alloy VZh159 was determined.

«BURNED» TYPE DEFECT ON CAST BILLETS OF HEAT-RESISTANT NICKEL ALLOYS (TYPE ZhS32)

The problem of the formation of defects of the “burnt” type on castings made of a carbon-containing heat-resistant nickel-based alloy (type ZhS32) is considered, and the reasons for the appearance of burnt marks on the surface of cast workpieces are identified. The study of the possibility of eliminating the physicochemical interaction between the mold and the casting was carried out using a laboratory vacuum installation. It is concluded that the use of gas-tight molds facilitates the production of samples of heat-resistant alloys without burn-in defects, with a reduced silicon content, a smooth, even surface and the absence of foreign inclusions.

STUDY OF STRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES OF SPARINLY ALLOYED ALUMINUM ALLOY OF Al–Mg–Sc–Zr SYSTEM PRODUCED BY SELECTIVE LASER MELTING

An important direction in additive manufacturing is the development of materials with the required combination of properties. In this paper a novel alloy of the Al–Mg–Sc–Zr system with reduced scandium content, manufactured by selective laser melting (SLM), is investigated. Some pattern of the influence of SLM process parameters on porosity, properties and magnesium content in the alloy has been studied. The applicability of producing material without cracks at good theoretical building rate (~11 cm³/h) is shown. High mechanical properties of the synthesized alloy were obtained after annealing: σ_b ≈ 510 MPa, σ_0,2 ≈ 440 MPa, δ₅ ≈ 12 %.

INVESTIGATION OF THE REGULARITIES OF THE FORMATION OF THE STRUCTURE OF RODS MADE OF TITANIUM ALLOY VT6 DEPENDING ON VARIOUS TECHNOLOGICAL SCHEMES OF MANUFACTURE

Presents the results of studies of VT6 alloy rods of various diameters and their manufacturing process schemes (forged and rolled rods). The analysis of the macro- and microstructure was carried out, the mechanical properties under tension and impact strength were investigated, tests for determination of Brinell hardness were carried out. The obtained research results showed the dependence of various technological temperature and deformation parameters of manufacturing on the structure and its effect on the final complex of mechanical properties of rods made of titanium alloy VT6.

SELECTION AND RESEARCH OF OPTIMAL PASTE FORMULATION FOR LOCAL REMOVAL OF CORROSION PRODUCTS FROM MAGNESIUM ALLOYS AS WELL AS THE TECHNOLOGY OF IT’S APPLICATION

Magnesium and magnesium alloys have relatively low corrosion resistance due to the high electronegative potential and insufficient protective properties of the natural oxide film and such parts often need to be replaced during the repair process. The article discusses the composition that allows local repair of parts made of magnesium alloys, as well as the technology of its application, which ensures the removal of corrosion products to the full depth of corrosion damage due to a chemical reaction; the composition can be used on curved, inclined, ceiling cavities due to low thixotropic properties. The main advantage of this composition (compared to existing technologies) is that its application does not require the dismantling of parts from the product.

INFLUENCE OF COATINGS ON THE CORROSION PROPERTIES OF AK7ch AND VAL10 ALUMINUM ALLOYS ON SPECIMENS WITH DEFECTS ELIMINATED BY COLD SPRAYING

The samples of cast aluminum alloys AK7ch and VAL10 with eliminated defects by the method of cold spraying with and without functional coatings were investigated. Two types of protective materials were used for coating the samples: chemox fluorine and white enamel EP-140. Examination of samples were carried out in a salt fog chamber with continuous spraying of a neutral solution of NaCl. The results of the study showed that the areas subjected to cold spraying were more susceptible to pitting corrosion than the control areas of the samples. However, the corrosion resistance is also influenced by the alloy material itself.

EVALUATION OF THE CURING PROCESS MODEL OF THE ADHESIVE BINDER IN PREPREG

One of the most important stages in the development and manufacture of a polymer composite material is the process of studying the kinetic properties of a prepreg (initial components of which it consists, namely, the filler combined with a matrix) as well as the selection of the optimal temperature regime for its curing during heating. The kinetic parameters obtained during the analysis of the prepreg curing reaction make it possible to determine the degree of transformation at different stages of the temperature regime in the process of manufacturing a composite. Based on these data, it is possible to simulate this process and predict the properties of the prepreg during its molding.

RARE-EARTH NANO- AND MICROMAGNETS, MAGNETO-RESISTIVE PLATFORMS FOR BIOMEDICAL APPLICATIONS

A mini-review of modern problems of magnetic cell engineering and methods of their solution using rare-earth micromagnets is performed. The biomedical applications of amorphous-crystalline PrDyFeCoB microconductors obtained by ultrafast melt cooling are described. The results of the development of a magnetic micropincet for manipulations and targeted positioning of magnetically labeled cells, as well as magneto-resistive platforms for digital identification and assessment of concentrations of magnetically labeled biological objects are considered.

Nevertheless, the question of further improving their weather resistance and, as a consequence, achieving longer lasting and more reliable corrosion protection for a wide variety of products with these materials remains topical. The results of studies on the effect of different types of isocyanates on the properties of fluoropolyurethane enamels are presented. The influence of ratio of film-forming and polyisocyanates on content of gel fraction and hardness of obtained coatings is shown.

STUDY OF PROTECTIVE CAPACITY ANODIC OXIDE COATING WITH ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY IMPROVED FILLING TECHNOLOGY

To increase the protective properties, aluminum alloys are subjected to a process of anodic oxidation followed by filling the pores of the coating either in demineralized water, which provides mediocre protective characteristics, or in compositions containing hexavalent chromium compounds, which are highly toxic and carcinogenic. The protective properties of alternative filling compositions are studied, including using the method of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in a chloride solution, in comparison with the protective properties of various filling compositions.

THE EFFECT OF REINFORCING ADDITIVES ON THE STRUCTURE AND THERMOPHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF ICE COMPOSITE MATERIALS

The research of ice compositions with different content of dopants has been carried out. Approaches for sample preparation of materials and measurement of their thermophysical properties are proposed. The influence of the crucible material on the kinetics of freezing of liquids and their properties has been studied. The effect of reinforcing filler on the thermophysical properties of materials, as well as on the formation of micro- and macrogels of water is shown. It is noted that during the formation of water macrogels, the freezing rate of ice composite materials changes.

METHODS FOR THE FORMATION OF OBJECTS WITHARTIFICIALLY CREATED RESIDUAL STRESSES

The study of residual stresses requires the manufacture of a standard sample with a given level of residual (mounting) stresses. Various methods of forming a stress state in a sample are considered: loading with cantilever bending, loading with uniaxial tension, formation of an axisymmetric stress state in a joint with a guaranteed tightness, formation of a stress state as a result of non-uniform plastic deformation by pure bending, and also formation of a stress state on the sample surface as a result of surface hardening. The characteristics of the presented samples are given.
