Production of ceramic thermoprotective coatings for aircraft gte turbine blades by the magnetronic method

Thermoprotective coatings with the ceramic layer on the base of ZrO2-Y2O3, produced by the magnetronic plasmochemical method were developed and studied. The coating ceramic layer has the columnar structure and low heat conductivity which makes them competitive with the foreign analogues produced by the more expensive electron-beam (EB-PVD) method.

Effect of the rare-earth metal microalloying upon VKNA-25-VI intermetallic alloy properties and phase transformations

The effect of rare-earth metals (La and Sc) upon VKNA-25-VI alloy durability was studied during the tests of the long-term strength at 1100°C, high-temperature oxidation resistance along with the alloy microstructure prior to and after testing. It was stated, that the most efficient effect upon the alloy properties was produced by La (lanthanum); the long-term strength was increased by 18 MPa and the specimen weight gain was decreased by 2-2,5 times during the heat resistance test at 1100°C for 300 hours. The metal structural investigations confirmed the obtained results prior to and after tests.

Mastering experience in casting technology for VKNA-4U nozzle blade sectors with the single-crystal structure

The production of GTE turbine blades with the single-crystal structure has been presently mastered by a number of engine-producing factories of the aeronautical industry. For the first time the paper takes up the mastering experience in casting technology for VKNA-4U nozzle blade sector with the single-crystal structure, the castings of which are more complicated in structure as compared to separately cast GTE blades. The diagram of sector model block of three blades with the feed-gating system elements, technical characteristics of UVNK-14 unit for the production of single-crystal castings with the height up to 600 mm, basic temperature production parameters of UVNK-14 unit is given along with the analysis of structural defects in the produced castings.

Study of aluminium alloy corrosion dynamics in the salt-spray chamber (SSC)

When studying aluminium alloys in SSC it was stated that the dynamics of their corrosion losses with time was analogous to the chloride sedimentation dynamics and depended on the alloy type (chemical composition). The highest chloride sedimentation and the maximum corrosion losses, respectivily, were observed in case of aluminium alloys, subjected to pitting corrosion, but the lesser chloride sedimentation and the minimum corrosion losses − in alloys with the uniform corrosion.

Recovery of the production technology for heat and freeze-resistant sealants based on silico-organic rubbers, synthesized according to the new commercial technologies

The results of the work on recovering the production technology of sealants with the high thermal resistance are presented in the paper. The liquid polyorganosiloxane with the high content of methylphenilsiloxane links were synthesized for the use as the sealant base and the liquid rubbers with the high content of methyltrifluoropropensiloxane links were used as the base for fuel-resistant sealants. The synthesized polymer composition and microstructure were examined with the use of YAMR 29Si spectroscopy. The mechanical properties of developed thermal-resistant sealants are given in the initial state prior to and after the effect of basic service factors. The УФ-11-21 sealant thermal resistance was confirmed to 400°C in air, the УФ-12ВТ sealant destructive stability - in the closed space at the temperatures to 350°C and ВГФ-4 sealant high heat and fuel resistance were also confirmed.

Study of the polymer composite weather resistance under the mild damp and temperate climate conditions

The full-scale test results of aviation structural materials based on epoxy binders such as ST-2227M, ST-2227, VPS-31, KMU-11E(M), Organit 12T(M)-Rus, VKT-5, GKM-1(M) are given for the zones of the temperate and mild damp climate conditions. The analysis of the obtained data shows, that the mild damp climate zone is the more aggressive for the full-scale exposure of polymer composites, as compared to the temperate climate. The effect of climatic factors on polymer material properties mainly manifests itself on the characteristics, obtained at the service temperature. These results can be the basic ones when searching the correlation coefficient of a composite weather resistance characteristics under the considered climatic zone conditions.

Superlow-density porofibrous material based on metallic fibers

The production technology was developed for the superlow-density porofibrous material on the base of metallic fibers and some test specimens of this material were produced. The material is designated for the use as a filler in the high-temperature sound-absorbing structures with the operating temperatures to 700°C. The heat resistance and acoustic characteristics of test specimens made of the heat-resistant alloy fibers on the base of Fe-Cr-Al system were studied. The developed technology allows to produce the porofibrous material in the form of mats with the density from 0,05 g/cm 3, and the high ductility, ensuring the possibility of filling the working chamber of the sound-absorbing structures of any configuration and radius without filler brazing or fixing to the metallic base.

Novel «silver-stable» organic glasses

Organic glasses are used for the production of glazing components of aeroplanes and helicopters. The new «silver-stable» polymethylmethacrylate organic glasses of the partially cross-linked structure (CO-120C) and oriented on its base (AO-120C) were developed. The physico-mechanical and optical properties of new organic glasses are presented in the initial state and after the effect of artificial and natural climatic factors.

Properties and application of F-4RM radiation-modified fluoroplastic (polytetrafluoroethylene)

The mechanical, antifriction, thermophysical and other service properties of F-4RM radiation-modified fluoroplastic are given in comparison with F-4 fluoroplastic and filled compositions on its base. Its advantages in wear resistance, radiation resistance, including elasto-rebound properties are also presented in the paper. The application of F-4RM fluoroplastic in the aerospace and other branches of industry allows to improve the reliability and service life of products of the antifriction and sealing designation.

Innovation solution for aerodynamics by changing the geometric shape

Possibility of applying the electromechanical actuating system of active control by aerodynamical characteristics of flying vehicles is considered in the paper with the goal of designing the structures made of polymer composites with the changeable shape geometry. The basic types of piezoelectric actuating elements, designated for developing the actuating systems, being integrated into polymer composites, in turn, are also presented.

Interaction of electromagnetic radiation with densely-packed heterogeneous disperse systems

This paper is concerned with the approach for evaluating the radiophysical characteristics of absorbing layers with carbon fibers, as a dispersed filler, based on the densely-packed model with thin conductive cylindrical-shaped particles, arbitrarily and equiprobable distributed through the volume.
