Production of ultrafine-granular and nanodimensional structures in metals and alloys by deformation methods

The present-day principles and approaches are considered for the production of ultrafine- granular and nano-phase structures in the deformed semifinished products of metals and alloys with the goal of achieving the optimum set of functional and technological characteristics. The processes of nanopowders compaction and intensive prastic deformation are studied with using the methods of equichannel angular squeezing and torsion with the high axial compression.

    Relationship between D16 alloy corrosion resistance and seaside atmosphere salt spraying and meteoparameters

    The two-year test results of D16 alloy corrosion resistance are considered under the natural conditions of seaside regions along with the conditions of artificial sea salt sedimentation, appropriate to the salting range from 0 to 300 mg Cl(m2·day).

      New high-thermostable oriented organic glass of BOC-2AO tupe

      The high-thermostable organic glass is used for aircraft glazing components of next-generation aeroplanes. The properties of BOC-2AO oriented organic glass are given in the paper. The BOC-2AO glass in capable to operate at short-term one-side heating to 200°C due to the high thermal stability.

        Application of gradient aluminium oxynitride coating by the reactive magnetron sputtering method

        The production of gradient optical aluminium oxynitride coating with the variable thickness refractive index is considered by the reactive magnetron sputtering method. The method gives a possibility to control the refractive index from 1,65 to 2,1 and the law of its change through the coating thickness by adjusting the relative nitrogen and oxygen content during the process of reactive magnetron sputtering of aluminium target. The spectrum reflection coefficient measurement results of gradient aluminium oxynitride coating on the silicate glass are given in the paper and they confirmed the possibility of applying the coatings with the variable thickness refractive index.

          Criterion of the application efficiency of functionalized carbon nanotubes for improving the physico-mechanical properties of epoxy resins

          The effect of low concentration of functionalized carbon nanotubes (FCNT) upon changing the physico-mechanical and thermomechanical properties of epoxy resins is considered in the present paper. It was established that on the base of analysis of various compositions, the relation between the quantity of physical mesh network bundles and the quantity of chemical sewing bundles doesn't depend on the modified composition and the modificator concentration, but it's determined only by FCNT type and their modification conditions, while modifying the epoxy matrices by functionalized nanotubes. In this case the modification effect is controlled by the factor, as far as the balance between the quantity of physical and chemical sewings in the modified matrix is close to the optimum for realizing the maximum strength value of each specific composition.
