Alloying and heat treatment features of Ni-base superalloys for new jeneration GTE disks

Two novel VG175 and EP975A Ni-base superalloys have been developed and commercially tested with the maximum operating temperatures to 800 and 975°C, respectively. As for the property set, these alloys are superior to the known Russian and foreign materials of the similar application and can be used in gas-turbine engines of new generation.

    Effect of heat treatment conditions on the structure and properties of Ti-base heat-resistant alloys for high-pressure compressor beades

    The basic factors, determining the properties of pseudo-α Ti-base heat-resistant alloys are considered for VT41M alloy, desianated for the production of high-pressure compressor blades. As shown, the selection of optimum alloy composition and thermomechanical treatment conditions ensure the most effective combination of solid solution and precipitation strengthening. The Ti3Al and Ti5Si3 intermetallide phases, being precipitated under the ageing conditions produce an effect upon mechanical properties, fracture toughness and rupture stress of VT41M alloy at 600°C in annealed and heat-treated states. The properties of VT41M bar blade billets are given in the comparison with VT18U and IMI834 analogues.

      Use of continuous reinforcing fibers as strain-resistive sensor elements

      Presented here are the development methods and application of continuous (with the length, appropriate to component dimensions or controlled areas) strain-sensitive sensor elements on the base of reinforcing carbon and metallized aramid fibers, allowing to set the relationship between the strain and stress levels, appearing in the critical components or hard-to-reach composite structure sections.

        Interaction between Ti-base surface layers of various plase composition and electromagnetic field

        The mathematical model, describing the relationship between the electrical conductivity of titanium solid solution with oxygen was developed with the account of the maximum oxygen solubility in titanium and its diffusion distribution. The equation calculation was made for the plane electromagnetic wave of mathematical titanium models. The mathematical relationship of magnetic field intensity was obtained for titanium surface layers and the effect of induced ring-shaped currents upon the exciting inductor parameters was determined for the titanium alloy with various phase composition and oxygen concentration.

          Polysulfone-base polymer silicate nanocomposites, produced by different methods

          Presented here are the studied properties of polymer-silicate nanocomposites, based on structural thermoresistant polymer with the amorphous structure - polysulfone, modified by nanosilicate of the montmorillonites family. The X-ray structure analysis data were studied along with the comparative analysis of properties of polymer-silicate nanocomposites, produced by different methods.
